Ramšak
This farm is called ‘at the Ramšaks’. When owners were building their new house, they thought about their guests as well and so they now have six rooms with 17 beds and a kitchen where they prepere old, almost forgotten dishes, such as »štruklji«, »potica«, home-made sausages with which you can have rye or fruit bread baken in a wood-burning stove. The food on the Ramšak farm is healthy and homemade. There is never a lack of dried meat products, among which guests like most the savinjski zelodec, as well as the homemade bread, milk, and home-grown vegetables and fruit. The hostess also prepares štruklji and žlikrofi. To freshen up, you can have a cup of sour milk or, perhaps, a glas of cider.
At the farm you can have a stroll, gather herbs, mushrooms or blueberries; you can also cycle, ride, play table-tennis, basketball or badminton. In winter you can ski on the Rogla skiing ground, swim in Terme Zrece spa or you can help farm if this is what you wish
Hike around Pohorje in summer, ski on Rogla in the winter, and swim at the Zrece Thermal Spa throughout the year. From the doorstep, the Ugovšek family will show you the hills in the vicinity and list the sights that are hiding in the upper Savinja Valley. Guests who especially like active vacations will enjoy the Logarska dolina valley; others will stay at the farm and watch how baskets are woven or help with the farm work. The farm is a starting point for shorter or longer mountain hikes, and there are several exceptionally beautiful churches and monasteries in the vicinity worth visiting.
