Tan Y Bryn
Tan Y Bryn is a two hectare organic smallholding in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The traditional stone farm cottage with an adjoining converted barn is situated in a tranquil valley with ancient woodlands, dolmens and standing stones. Mansel and Caroline have an established organic vegetable garden and orchard and they use their own springwater.
The traditional stone cottage and barn can be rented by two persons (barn only; not in July or August) or eight persons (cottage + barn). In the barn you find a large light kitchen and living room leading into a conservatory. In the cottage there is also a smaller lounge containing a tv, a piano, an inglenook and an open fireplace. Both rooms have exposed wooden beams. There are five snug cottage bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. Furnishings are in a simple country style and there is central heating. A utility room contains a freezer and washing machine (ecological washing products are provided). A stone flagged grassy area outside provides spectacular views of the Preseli Hills.
Tan Y Bryn provides an ideal base for exploration, situated only 4 miles from the breathtaking Pembrokeshire coastline. Over 180 miles of coastal footpaths with many seebirds to be seen. Sandy beaches for swimming and water sports. Near the cottage are ancient oak woodlands and many prehistoric sites; the Preseli Hills are excellent for walking and riding (horses for rent nearby).
