Młyn Ruda
This location, on the bank of the Wełna River, makes Ruda Mill a perfect place for events connected with kayaking. What is more, everyone is welcome to admire the complete milling machinery from the first half of the 20th century at work. The entire machinery is propelled by one source of power – this is why there are so many driving belts, shafts and gears inside the building; everything is in constant motion. The visit at the mill is an unforgettable experience not only for enthusiasts of technology as it offers also interesting aesthetics of wooden interiors and stylish wooden devices. Most of the machinery consists of devices made in 1941. Guests are welcome to go on a guided tour showing the production line from the delivery of grain to filling bags with flour.
The guests can enjoy comfortable accommodation in a separate small house. The house is equipped with three single beds, a bathroom, TV set, a terrace and a fireplace. Additional en suites are under construction. The main attractions here include kayaking, bonfires, parties with kayak trips and guided tours of the mill. The most popular trademark of this location is the traditional home-made bread. It is made only from natural sourdough and other natural ingredients and baked in a real wood burn bread oven using traditional recipes.
You can visit the wooden church from the 17th century in Wełna, a church from the 18th century and the Regional Museum in Rogoźno, Museum of Milling in Jaracz, the joining of Nielba and Wełna Rivers in Wągrowiec and the Wełna Nature Reserve.
