Natuurvriendenhuis/kampeerterrein de Kleine Rug
Accommodation in a former, renovated farm in the Biesbosch, a unique nature area with fresh water tides, only accessible by boat. The captain of the motor flatboat ferries you over to the other side.
In addition to the common rooms the house has three double bedrooms and an excellent kitchen. The atmosphere is intimate and the space is very fit for smaller groups. The cosy living room with fire place has a view on the Wantij. When the house is rented out, individuals can use the two four person log cabins or the adjoining nature camping site with 12 tent pitches. Caravans and large tents cannot be transported by the flatboat ferry. This capmsite is for real lovers of nature with three fields, a fireplace and own sanitary facilities in the house. Children can play all around and you can swim in the Biesbosch or build a campfire. At the accommodation there are bikes and canoes for rent.
You can make canoe tours from De Kleine Rug in the Dutch Biesbosch. At the visitors center you will see for instance beavers. From the Kop van het Land you can go by ferry to the Biesbosch of Brabant. The Alblasserwaard is a typical landscape of peat. Twisting roads bring you along woody quays and pollard willows. By bike you can take a short cut to the 19 mills of Kinderdijk. Dordrecht is the oldest town of Holland, with more than 800 monuments. By Fast Ferry you can go fast to Rotterdam, but you can also take the Waterbus to Kinderdijk and Gorinchem.
