Natuurvriendenhuis Banjaert
Nature Friends House De Banjaert is a simple, spacious accommodation on the Dutch coast, on ten minutes by foot from the beach. In 2004 it was completely renovated.
In the house 80 guests can be accommodated. Next to the house is a campsite with pitches for tents, caravans and two campers. The grounds are well covered by grass and are enclosed by trees and dunes. A large part of the pitches is supplied with electricity. The sanitary facilities are excellent. Children can play to their heart’s content on the playground equipment and on the field for volleyball.
In summer the Banjaert is the territory of children and in low season it is a good starting point for walks over the beach and in the silent dunes. Enjoy the calm in the dune reserve going from the house to Schoorl and further. Above the Noordzeekanaal lies a beautiful area of moors. On the other side are the dunes of Zuid-Kennemerland and recreation area Spaarnwoude where you can climb, ski and play golf. Culture can be found in the Museum of Frans Hals and the Teylers Museum in Haarlem. Also Spaarndam and the Zaanse Schans are within biking distance, just like the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie (Dutch Water Line), with plenty of nature around the old fortresses. At the Bazaar of Beverwijk every weekend there is an Eastern Market and a Flea Market. Bikes are for rent in the village and at the station of Beverwijk.
