The house is situated in the territory of Gauja National park within the Ligatne Recreation Park, where wild animals from the Baltic sea region can be obserwed in special pasture. Near the house there is a garden with a pond and a sauna house.

The house is a two-storied building where there is a separate part of the house with separate entrance for guests. The hosts live on the other part of the house. In the guests part on the ground floor there is a sitting room with fireplace. On the 2nd floor there are guest bedrooms. The bedrooms are situated on the 2nd floor. 2 of the bedrooms have private WC and bathroom.

In de omgeving kunt u paardrijden, varen en ’s winters skiën. Ligatne maakt deel uit van het nationale park Gauja (ca 1000 vierkante km), waar u prachtige rivierdalen en rotsformaties kunt zien. Het park bestaat voor bijna de helft uit bos. Er bevinden zich in het gebied 900 verschillende soorten planten, 150 soorten vogels en 48 soorten zoogdieren. In de buurt van het vakantiehuis zijn talloze historische bezienswaardigheden. Niet ver van Ligatne ligt het pittoreske en levendige stadje Cesis (30 km), één van de oudste steden van het land. In Sigulda, gelegen op 10 km van Ligatne, vindt u een aantal mooie kastelen.
