Borgo Poggiolo is a 17th century estate located between Perugia, Todi and Orvieto. When the house was renovated, the authentic style of the former small fortress was preserved. It is situated on a hill overlooking a splendid untouched wooded valley in the gentle rolling hills of Umbria (350-500 m) and some little medieval villages. The area of Monte Peglia is just declared a World Reserve of the MAB Unesco Biosfere.

Our guests have at their disposal: four apartments each with a completely furnished kitchen; for two, four and six persons. Sometimes it is possible to place an additional bed. Some have a fire place and some have a terrace. There are also three rooms each with a private bathroom and independent entrance. You can eat in several local restaurants nearby: gastronomic food with the best products from the region. In the Agriturismo you can find biologic extra virgin olive oil and marmalades. A Panoramic swimming pool (6 x 17 m), comfortable garden seating, bowling alley, archery, mountainbiking, table tennis, trekking with or without guide and barbecue.

There are a lot of important Umbrian art-historical cities around like Orvieto (39km), Todi (39km), Perugia (49km), Assisi (67km), Spello (64km), Città della Pieve (31 km) and several little medieval villages like Montegiove (13km), Montegabbione (21km) and Monteleone (24km). Slightly further afield, but still do-able in a day, in Tuscany are the wonderful cities Chiusi (45km), Montepulciano (70km), Pienza (79km), Montalcino (96km), Siena (122km) and Firenze (166km). Close by you will find the gardens of ‘La Scarzuola’ (13km), an ancient monastery founded by St. Francis of Assisi himself in 1218, now a stunning garden and an outdoor theatre complex that has to be seen to be believed. There can be organized English tours, horse riding trips at a riding ground (nearby) and even wine-tasting tours.
